Hi,
I have a problem with the last version of MTV and my DIY MT Table. I use it on Windows 8 and often, windows touchpoint freeze and last on the display.
Moreover, i installed the Microsoft Touchpack and the drivers seems to have problem delivering all the touchpoint info to Windows.
The problem is not with CCV because Java applications run very well.
The problem is really with the driver.

Is there any solution?

I have done a clean Windows 7 (Professional) install on my system, have both VS2008 & VS2010 (Professional) also installed. Downloaded the .zip file from CodePlex and followed the instructions on cktouch.com to the dot. But I get some error when I try to run Multitouch.Configuration.WPF. Attached is a screenshot of the error. Btw, I have windows firewall disabled, and no anti-virus software installed.

I have used the UniSoftHID driver on a different system before and it works perfectly. I noticed some difference when I run Multitouch.Service.Console on this system. From the output of the Multitouch.Service.Console it seems that the input provider is not starting. Where "Started input provider" is normally printed, "The operation completed successfully" (in red) is printed instead.

How can I get it to work?

Hello, when I use multi touch Vista I got this weird problem:

When I draw in paint the mouse pointer suddenly stops moving and draws straight lines from the point it stops and from the real location of my pen.
You get this effect(in attachment). it looks nice, but it is terrible.
I use multi touch vista in combination with Wiimote Whiteboard(by Tuio) and I tried other tuio software but the same result.

I compiled the latest source code, the problem is not fixed except that the Paint drawings now look like the enclosed image (zig zags). What do you think is the problem? Thank you

Yes, don't use the pre-built version but download the latest source, build it and the problem should be fixed :)

Cursor of the multipleMice (red circle) is staying below window. Example, when i click on start menu, i can't see where my cursor is, because it is below the start window.

I found way to display cursor over all of the windows. In the DebugCursor.cs file i added "this.BringToFront()" to the overrided method WndProc. The code is below

Also the red cursor does not appear in microsoft touchpack games (which usually play in full screen) and also displays below the on screen keyboard.

I'm not sure exactly if this is the fault of some coding discrepencies that I have on my machine, but I have calibrated my table with CCV numerous times, so that is not the problem.
I have been able to successfully install the multitouch service onto my computer, but when I try to operate it on my table, the calibration is usually off.
I have also merged the ScreenReg registry file for CustomSurfaceInput, if that makes any difference.

After completing the "Hello, world!" program (just the touchable element part), I can control the textblock, but the calibration is terribly off. The same goes for using the regular Windows driver that I installed.

Can anyone help me? I'd appreciate it.

I had this problem too, caused by:

- multiple screens connected to pc (a video projector is a screen too)
- DPI is not 100%
- You are switching between screens or changing the resolution

This can be fixed in the code.

This is for the June release - latest build available - just in case not yet fixed.

When run on system with multiple monitors, the red dots are positioned correctly but when you click, it clicks on the wrong place in the screen

I tested it with two monitors. This is with secondary monitor positioned to right of primary monitor.

The click point is roughly half way between the red dot and the left side of the primary monitor.

When the red dot is at far right of secondary monitor (so at rightmost edge of the virtual screen) then the click point is exactly at far right of primary monitor.

With Vista and later, Microsoft lets users vary the DPI of the screen to make text and icons larger. It is quite possible that users with touch screens will do this to make them more touch friendly. Testing the alpha with DPI set to 125% then the clicks were misaligned with the red touch points.

Probably needs somewhere in the code use of:
PhysicalToLogicalPoint(hwnd,&pt);
or some such.
